COHouston is a celebration of Houston’s world-class creative community and innovation ecosystem. We work to expand local, national and international awareness and appreciation of Houston’s thinkers, makers and doers — as well as the organizations that support them — by regularly shining the spotlight on their events, programs and activities every Spring and Fall. We aim to make perceptions of Houston catch up to its reality — that of an openly diverse, cultural and innovative metropolitan city. We ARE Forbes‘ “Coolest City,” after all!

COHouston is positioned as a flagship initiative supported by the Mayor’s Innovation and Technology Advisory Board (ITAB), sponsored by the Office of Mayor Pro-Tem/City Council Member Ed Gonzalez. We aim to ignite collaborative community-driven efforts among Greater Houston’s creative organizations and resources in order to collectively address local and regional challenges, draw talent and tourism to Houston, grow sustainable relationships and practices, and brand Greater Houston as a destination and hub for world-class creative cultural innovation. To date, we’ve engaged the support of the City of Houston, the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, Houston Business Journal, Houston Film Commission, Houston Museum District, Cinema Arts Society, AIGA, Houston Arts Alliance, and numerous independent organizations to work together to ensure that we successfully elevate local and national awareness and appreciation of Houston’s creative community.
