In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED created TEDx (http://www.ted.com/tedx): A platform of local, self-organized events — like TEDxYouth@Houston! — that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. TED provides general guidance and guidelines for TEDx organizers; however, the “x” indicates that it’s an independently organized event that depends on local community support and participation to exist and thrive.
Join us at TEDxYouth@Houston events, simulcasted TED talks and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection among youth of all ages. The TED provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
